Like a celebration of the present moment, the Glossy Polaroid series brings to life the photos sleeping on the artist’s phone. Entirely made with lipstick, eye shadow and gloss, these drawings are the mirror of our society where the immediate is of paramount importance. Our way of consuming images has evolved since the first Polaroids. Now everything is photographed. It ranges from the cup of coffee to the smudge of lipstick on a napkin. Like an Instagram filter, the artist sublimates our daily lives by diligently drawing these scenes of life that would seem banal. She thus questions us about our relationship to the incessant flood of images punctuating our days.
